Ché Noir ha pubblicato Wash The Dishes con Benny the Butcher. Il lancio del brano arriva in concomitanza dell’annuncio del nuovo sforzo discografico della rapper di Buffalo.
Il suo ultimo album – Food for Thought – era uscito ad inizio anno e aveva visto la partecipazione delle colleghe Armani Caesar e 7xvethegenius.
Benny the Butcher e Che Noir fanno coppia in Wash The Dishes!
Il titolo fa riferimento all’umiltà dei lavori che molti artisti hanno dovuto fare all’inizio delle loro carriera. La rapper rende omaggio al proprio duro lavoro e, in chiusura della sua strofa, il lavare i piatti diventa anche simbolo del ricominciare sempre nonostante le avversità (cliccate QUI per il testo completo):

Benny fa eco a Ché, mettendo al centro la propria indipendenza come persona e come artista in un’industria musicale in cui a far da padrone sono le etichette:
“They rank me high as the bosses, I inspired the genre (That’s me)/Uh, then put my crew on, we done weathered a few storms (A few of ‘em)/Grown n****s complainin’ about what you ain’t do for ‘em (That’s h*’ s*it)/In this s*it, the labels know they gotta pay me more/I’m independent, walkin’ through them offices with eighty on, ah”
Wash The Dishes comparirà in The Last Remnants, in uscita il 26 ottobre. La rapper ha già svelato copertina, produttori ed ospiti tra i quali troveremo Spesh, Ransom e Jynx716. La cover ritrae un paio di braccia tendersi verso una colomba: un chiaro rimando alla vicenda che – stando al racconto biblico – mise fine al Diluvio Universale.
