Nuovo album fuori ora e major release in arrivo per Westside Gunn

Flygod Is An Awesome God 2 è il nuovo progetto di Westside Gunn.

Nonostante il suo eccellente Pray For Paris continui a dare risultati, Westside Gunn ci presenta Flygod Is An Awesome God 2.

Il nuovo progetto è il seguito di uno dei suoi album più apprezzati, uscito solo lo scorso anno. La volontà di continuare a promuovere e registrare nuova musica per i fan nasce da un desiderio di far brillare la cultura in cui opera. Ed è così che ci troviamo davanti ad un altro valido progetto di Westside Gunn, con collaborazioni non convenzionali e produzioni consistenti.

Oltre al sempre benaccetto Benny The Butcher e la talentuosa poetessa Keisha Plum (vera e propria “voce nella voce” delle rime di Gunn) troviamo anche la nuova arrivata nel conglomerato Griselda Records, Armani Caesar. Il suo verso in Lil Cease è uno dei più potenti del progetto e grazie alla sua prospettiva femminile è capace di mostrare lati inediti dell’inarrestabile label di Buffalo.

Il sottovalutassimo Stove God Cook$ ruba la scena a tutti, comparendo in ben 3 tracce. Il suo ultimo album Reasonable Drought con Roc Marciano deve aver sorpreso Westside che ha spiegato personalmente della sua volontà di dare una meritata maggiore visibilità al collega.

Flygod is An Awesome God 2 è quanto ci si aspetti da Westside Gunn ma anche qualcosa in più ed è probabilmente l’ultimo tape assemblato con una certa filosofia. Infatti oltre a spiegare ai fan la storia dietro questo ultimo album, Gunn ha annunciato di stare lavorando a Who Made the Sunshine, la sua prima release da solista per Shady Records.

As the Album approaches I just wanna Say I love ART, the way I think the way I paint is wat makes me the FLYGOD, I never cared about being the best rapper I only wanted to bring the best ART to the culture, last week I asked Conway wat helps him write and when he told me I tried it ended up taking a road trip to Dallas that’s when I put up the Michael Irvin cover which I was gonna drop that same day but then I started making more music and said fuck it I’ll do an EP, then I hit StoveGOD to get on it but then I’m like my G didn’t get the proper looks for his tape when his shit is pure ??? prob due to politics so I want him to get the proper shine and make niggas go back and pay attn. tHrew him on 3 records..FLYGOD is bigger than just rapping my job is to bring the Culture the illest shit, the common denominator to the Culture is WSG, Pray for Paris is a masterpiece that I painted diff and for a purpose this isn’t that this is that basement, barely mixed early HWH vibes, me having Fun, and letting the Homies StoveGOD and Rome Streetz to shine wit me, I thank EVERYBODY who’s apart of this painting let’s keep fuckin painting during these times, and on that note let me start on my shady Album right now “Who Made the Sunshine” that I want out in August and I’m a paint that bitch STUUUUUPID ? Considerando il successo di WWCD e la sua coerenza con il sound Griselda, siamo curiosi di vedere come Gunn si approccerà a questa importante prossima mossa, che ha detta sua dovrebbe vedere la luce già il mese prossimo.
