This story might sound unreal but as a young kid back in 2006 at Jazzmatazz tour in Milan at the end of the show while Guru quickly came to the front of the stage to shake hands with the crowd I was one of the super excited kids there and managed to shake his hand, thanking him for his music. While shaking his hand his ring slipped in my hand and when I opened it I saw it there, for me it was unbelievable and I looked up to shout to him and give it back straight away but he had already gone off stage the club was closing and the bouncers were pushing us out. As a real Gang Starr supporter and Hip Hop lover it was kind of crazy, I thought it was some kind of sign of destiny, I still don’t get it now… I tried to return it while visiting NY back in 2008 sending messages through myspace before the trip to plan a meeting and despite the fact that somebody got back to me in the first place but during my days in NY he did not get back to arrange a meeting… After Guru sadly passed in 2010 I said to myself one day I will return this ring to Preemo for him to give it to somebody that loved Guru and cared for him and can really appreciate the value of a ring he wore while performing his music around the globe. When after years I saw my friend @mocce31 and knowing that he lived in New York and established a good friendship with @marcopolobeats it sparkled in my mind that maybe there was a chance of finally getting the ring back where it belongs. I wrote a letter this letter to @djpremier and packed the ring and pass it to Mocce a couple of weeks back while he was going to New York for few days, there he met @djskizz that hold the ring till Marco came back to NY and received it to handle it to DJ Premier. The video that Premier posted on his IGTV was unexpected but it showed to me how important this was, and the ring actually passing to his son @keithcelam gave me goosbumps. Thanks to everybody that helped me accomplish this mission I had and thanks to everybody showing love, every real Gang Starr supporter would have done the same, this shit is deeper then music. Gang Starr legacy lives strong Peace, Paolito R.I.P Guru #gangstarrforever #ripguru #gurusring
